Samoan football coaching movement

Just wanted to say congrats to Ricky Logo who was named Vanderbilt's Defensive Line coach last week. Logo will be one of two Samoan football coaches in the SEC, the other being Guy Holliday at Missisippi State. Logo comes to the Nashville campus from Troy State where he helped recruit Fano Tagovailoa to the Alabama campus. Logo was also instrumental in his previous stop in the state of Tennessee (Tennessee-Chattanooga) in recruiting Samoans from American Samoa and elsewhere including Dennis Elisaia (97, 98), Kolumane Fainuulelei (97-98), Ernest Logoleo (99, 00) Ioelu Tafiti (98, 99), Mat Tosi (99, 00), and Alex Young (97-99).

Joe Seumalo also was hired by Oregon State last week to fill the Defensive Line Coach. He comes to Corvallis from San Jose State where he coached for a year under Coach Dick Tomey. AIGA Foundation will be holding a football combine at San Jose State on April 8th.
