Kahuku's track team was well represented by Kahuku football players who won 7 of the individual events and 2 of the relays in leading Kahuku to a first place team finish with 145 points over second place Roosevelt (99).
Kahuku Wide Receiver Redmond Tutor who was a 2nd Team All OIA finished first in the 110M Hurdles (15.01), 300M Hurdles (40.2), Long Jump (22 feet, 1 inch), Triple Jump (44-10.5), and also ran legs on the winning 4x100 (43.37) and 4x400 teams (3:33.78). Oregon State football recruit Suaesi Tuimaunei also won the 100M (11.21) and 200M (23.09) and UNLV football recruit Malosi Te'o was second in the 100M (11.50) and 200M (23.90). Tuimaunei and Te'o also both ran legs on the winning 4X100 and 4X400 teams. Colorado Football recruit BJ Beatty was first in the discus (148-10) and third in the shot put (43-01).
Kahuku's boy's track team is coached by Sean Makaiau who is also an assistant coach on the football team.
