Earnie Sagiao (Edison, Huntington Beach) 5-11, 245 LB/RB Jr.
The Chargers were undersized in their matchup with Mater Dei, but sideline observers were more than impressed with undersized 'backers Hunter White and Sagiao. He was credited with 13 tackles in a losing effort and recorded 14 six days earlier in a win over Servite of Anaheim. Sagiao's nose for the ball and great instincts more than make up for what he may lack in size and pure speed. Mater Dei coach Bruce Rollinson stated his team "could not account for Edison's linebackers" and Steve Fryer of the Orange County Register labeled Sagiao a prime-time all-county honors candidate.
