Dickerson Earns Second Straight WAC Player Of The Week Honor

Release Date: 10/30/06
DENVER, Colo. - Hawai'i wide receiver/return specialist Ross Dickerson earned his second straight WAC Special Teams Player of the Week honor, announced by the Western Athletic Conference this morning.

Dickerson returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in Hawai'i's 68-10 win over Idaho Saturday night at Aloha Stadium. It was Dickerson's second 100-yard return for a touchdown after doing so on the opening kickoff against Appalachian State in 2003.

Last week, the senior out of St. Louis School in Honolulu earned the award after gaining 283 all-purpose yards (158 on kickoff returns, and 125 receiving) and scoring twice in the Warriors' 49-30 win at New Mexico State.
