US Poly Football Round Up: Week of Oct 11-14

Lamont Afuvai RB/LB, 6'2, 215, Sr (Franlin Pierce HS, Tacoma, WA): Led team with 128 yards and three touchdown (1, 28, 4) on 24 attempts to turn back sixth-ranked Auburn Riverside 31-20 on Friday night in an SPSL 3A showdown at Auburn Memorial Stadium.

Keola Antolin RB/DB, KR, 5'9, 175, Jr(Bishop Gorman HS, Las Vegas, NV): Caught two touchdown passes of 41 yards and finished with 4 receptions for 118 yards.

Sonny Aumoeualogo RB, 5'11, 215, Sr (Fife HS, Tacoma, WA): Rushed for 4 touchdown runs of 3, 54, 1, and 5 in a 56-19 win over Washington HS.

Lincoln Maka (Juneau-Douglas, AK): Was a late junior varsity call up and had his second interception in the last two games. Defensive lineman Faifo Levale (DE, 6'3, 230, Jr) also had a sack in Douglas' loss to South (Anchorage, AK).

Dexter Moetuli DE/TE, 6'3, 215, Sr (Mount Si, Snoqualmine, WA): Mount Si's Dexter Moetului picked up the blocked ball on the 10-yard line, and took it toward the goal line. Newport noticed Moetului too late, and a scrum at the line ended with him breaking through for the winning score in a 41-35 victory. "Dexter Moetului is one of our hardest workers," Mount Si coach Charlie Kinnune said. "If there's anybody that deserves that, it's him."

Roman Tinitali-Pula RB/DB, 5'10, 205, Sr (Lincoln HS, Tacoma, WA): Lincoln’s go-to-guy, did eclipse the 1,000-yard mark, rushing for 146 yards on 16 carries in a 49-6 loss to Gig Harbor. Tinitali-Pula now has 1,064 yards on the year.

Tobias Togi FB/DL, 5'11, 225, Sr (Evergreen HS, Seattle, WA): Had 105 yards on 8 carries and a 1 yard touchdown run for the game's first score.

Tyler Tuiasosopo (Mariner HS, Everett, WA): Tuiasosopo was a picture of efficiency, hitting 6 of 8 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns for the Marauders (6-1, 5-1). The 6-foot-1, 205-pound junior quarterback connected with Joey Dillon for TD passes of 35 and 52 yards, and also had a 59-yard scoring strike to Luke Terwilliger.
