2006 All Contra Costa Times All Football Team

The Contra Costa Times has announced its 2006 All Star Football Team. The team includes three Polynesian student athletes.

All Stars
Roy Helu Jr RB, 5'11, 190, Sr (San Ramon Valley HS, Danville)
3rd Team All Contra Costa Times, 1st Team All EBAL, Nebraska-bound star rushed for 1,087 yards and caught 26 passes for 327 yards.

To'olefua Samuelu LB, 6'0, 210, Sr (Berkeley HS)
1st Team All Contra Costa Times
THE SKINNY: The first-team All-ACCAL selection was a key component of a Yellow Jackets defense that allowed under 90 yards a game on the ground. One of his season highlights was when he ripped the ball from a Hercules runner and streaked 79 yards to a touchdown during a 39-6 win.
WHAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW: Samuelu has played rugby for most of his life, and didn't start playing football until two years ago.

Arthur Toeaina OL, 6'2, 310, Sr (Pittsburg HS)
3rd Team All Contra Costa Times, Second Team BVAL selection. Younger brother of former Tennessee lineman Albert Toeaina. Managed to uphold strong tradition of big, physical Pirates linemen.
