Scout.com: What were your stats/honors from last season?
Taniela Niutei: "2nd Team All Region Center (5AI Northwest Region)."

What is your official height and weight?
"6-2.5 275lbs."

What is your greatest football memory?
"Taking region back from North Canyon this year."

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"To help lead the team to a region championship and hopefully state like anyone else."

How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
"Lifting, running and practicing steps/plays/snaps. Will go to the Notre Dame camp."

What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
"My snaps, I can block but my snaps aren't as good as I'd like."

Name one teammate you really respect and why?
"Danny Guerrola, he is extremely undersized but he packs a punch and plays his heart out on every play wether it be game night or Monday morning practice."

What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
"Hoping to go D1 but my main goal is to have the opportunity to play the best game in the world for 4-5 more years."

Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
"None so far..."

Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
"Yes."

What would your top 5 college choices be?
"Texas, ASU, Oregon, SDSU, Viginia Tech."

What are your best max lifts in the bench, squat, power clean and 40 yard dash?
"300 bench, 410 squat, 255 clean and 5.28 forty."

How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
smart

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
"I am a pretty good blocker on both pass and run, sometimes have a hard time getting up to a quick backer."

Who is your favorite athlete and why?
"Vince Young because he proved that you can have all the superstars you want (Leinhert, Bush, Lendale White) but working with your team wins championships."

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"Play every down like it's your last because you never know when it might be."

Tell us what can we expect from your team this season?
"We have a lot of returning athletes, just got to find the heart to get the job done and we will do great things I expect."

What can a college program expect from you as a player?
"I'm coachable and pick up new things very quickly."

What is your GPA and SAT/ACT score?
"GPA is 3.33."

What will the main factors be when you choose a school?
"Scholarship offer, location and educational quality."
