Pittsburgh Steelers sign Donovan Raiola

LATROBE, Pa. — The Steelers made a roster move today when they signed first-year center Donovan Raiola and released veteran free agent wide receiver Rasheed Marshall.

Raiola (6-2, 293) was originally signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2006, out of Wisconsin. He was released by the Rams in their 2006 training camp but returned to their camp this year before being released last week.

Marshall (6-1, 188), who was signed this past January, was a two-year veteran who played in 12 career games with the San Francisco 49ers, all of which came in 2005. Marshall was originally drafted in the fifth round (124th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft.
