The team signed defensive tackle Jesse Mahelona as a developmental project, and also added defensive end Derreck Robinson as a player who potentially could make an immediate impact.
The signing of Mahelona also comes on the same day the team was forced to place defensive tackle Chase Page on injured reserve after a nagging shoulder became too problematic.
Mahelona, a fifth-round draft pick by the Titans in 2006, was born in Hawaii and played in college at Tennessee.
At 335 pounds, he is a big-body nose guard who will be developed as a run-stopper.
