Monterey Herald All County

Jeremy Wright has been selected All-Area by the Herald (Monterey County).

Having started the season as the team's primary tailback, Wright moved to quarterback in Week 4. The Toreadores then ran off five straight wins to reach the playoffs. Wright was still a big threat rushing, as he compiled 618 yards on the ground and nine touchdowns — in a backfield that had three players rush for 550 yards or more. Putting Wright behind center guaranteed he would touch the ball on every play. And he provided Monterey with another option, throwing for 614 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 19.1 yards a completion.
