Niusulu was the SPSL 3A's Defensive Lineman of the Year, an all-state selection at defensive line and a member of The News Tribune's All-Area team.
Niusulu chose ISU over Montana State, Eastern Washington and Central Washington.

Lakes lineman to Idaho State
Lakes' lineman Tuiasosopo Niusulu has given a verbal commitment to attend Idaho State University. The Bengals offered the senior a full athletic scholarship.
