Oregon State's Jeremy Perry named to Outland Trophy Watch List

Oregon State University offensive linemen Andy Levitre (Luh-Vee-Tree) and Jeremy Perry are two of 10 players from the Pac-10 Conference to be selected to the “watch list” for the 2008 Outland Trophy. The award has been presented since 1946 to the top college interior lineman on either offense or defense.

Perry is a preseason candidate for the award for the third time. The 6-2, 334-pound guard from Hau’ula, Hawai’i (Kahuku Hig) is not participating in spring practice while rehabilitating from knee surgery. Perry played sparingly last season after breaking his leg in the season opener, but was a 2006 Pac-10 First Team honoree and 2005 Pac-10 Co-Freshman of the Year.
