After a stellar junior season for the Jackrabbits, All-Region first team nose guard Pasiaka Fahina returns to lead the Mesa defense. Fahina finished his junior season with a team-leading 106 tackles and nine sacks, good enough for second in the East Valley.
"In my 32 years of coaching, he's the only nose guard I've ever had that led the team in anything," Mesa head coach Kelley Moore said.
Moore feels that Fahina leads the defense in the way he plays. His teammates see the same thing in the leader of a powerful defensive line.
