SL Tribune 2008 All-State Football Team

The Salt Lake Tribune recently announced it's 2008 All State Football Team which included Cottownwood (Salt Lake City) running back Isi Sofele (pictured #3) as its 4A MVP.

"Sofele was simply the best running back the state had to offer this season. Playing for Cecil Thomas and being a driving force behind Cottonwood's march to the state title game, Sofele ran for 1,916 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also caught 19 passes for 300 yards and another four touchdowns."

Bingham teammates LT Filiaga (LB, 6'0, 230, Sr) and Harvey Langi (RB, 6'1, 210, So) were selected to the first team along with Syracuse kicker Josh Kealamakia (6'2, 170, Jr).

Second team selections include: Linebacker A'i Ho-Ching (Alta, 6'0, 215, Jr), offensive lineman Sam Katoa (American Fork, 6'3, 240, Sr), offensive lineman Tuni Kanuch (Bingham, 6'2, 280, Jr), defensive lineman Tenny Palepoi (Skyline, 6'2, 250, Sr).
