USU football: Andersen adds couple of coaches to USU staff

Baldwin is joined by Ilaisa Tuiaki as Andersen's most recent additions to his staff. Tuiaki will make the move to Utah State after a year as a graduate assistant at Utah, where he worked with the linebackers.

At USU, Tuiaki will serve as the running backs coach. He played for Andersen as a running back at Southern Utah in 2003 and will be a key cog in the Aggies' recruiting plans.

"He'll give us the ability to recruit Polynesian kids," Andersen said. "To be able to recruit those kids, you need to have a Polynesian or two on our staff. He'll be a huge asset to the staff."

Tuiaki helped coach Utah's linebackers this season, and that experience, Andersen said, will help him better understand how to get the most out the Aggies' talented young running backs.

"I'm flattered that coach Andersen selected me to be Utah State's running backs coach. I'm excited to meet and work with the players," Tuiaki said. "Utah State has a lot of talent at running back. I'm also anxious to help recruit Polynesian players to Cache Valley and Utah State. The area and campus are great places."
