Hawaii High School Football Talent Show Off at Combine

Hawaii's top ranked football recruit is transferring. Nationally touted linebacker V.J. Fehoko is making the move from Farrington to Kahuku High School for his senior year. Fehoko is rated by ESPN as one of the top 150-recruits in the country.

If you saw his performance at the Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance Football Combine Saturday you'd understand why. During the bench press test, the senior-to-be racked up an impressive 37-reps of 225-pounds. Among the combine directors are former Hawaii stars Chris Fuamatu-Maafala and Darnell Arceneaux. The PIAA combine measures players heights and weights, and records their strength and speed numbers. The data is passed along to 600-colleges who are looking for diamonds in the rough.

Among those diamonds was Kailua receiver Corey Lau and Punahou defensive back Jeffrey Pedrina who both logged the fastest 40-yard dash times in 4.44-seconds.
