Preseason All-CIFSS: Orange County

The following Polynesians were selected by CalHisports to their preseason all star team.

OG -- Faatele Faafoi (Tustin) 6-5, 300 Jr.
Was another sophomore all-state pick from last year. Faafoi also has the ability to play on the defensive side of the ball, but it appears blowing up holes for all-state caliber RB Anthony Wilkerson might be his most important job description.

C -- Roman Sapolu (Edison, Huntington Beach) 6-1 240 Sr.
The son of former San Francisco 49er lineman Jessie Sapolu, who currently serves as Edison's offensive line coach, Roman is known for his intensity. He plays on the outside, but will likely play center on the next level at Oregon Sate. At last spring's L.A. Nike Football Training Camp, Sapolu displayed good technique, feet and didn't mind getting nasty with the bigger lineman.

DT -- Kirifi Taula (Servite, Anaheim) 6-4, 275 Sr.
The Los Angeles Times touted Taula as possibly the best lineman in the rugged Trinity League and based on his performance against Long Beach Poly, he might be the best in the CIFSS Pac-Five Division, period. He sat out last season after transferring over from Orange Lutheran and despite not playing last season, already holds offers from four Pac-1- schools, San Diego State and Nebraska. "It feels good," Taula said of finally getting back in the lineup and recording two sacks and at least three other tackles for loss. "All of this is just preparing us for league."
