Weekend Polynesian College Football Wrap Up

Kentucky defensive lineman Dequin Evans had 2 tackles and 1 sack in the 24-13 win over Vanderbilt. Evans has 28 tackles for the season, 10.5 for loss, including 5 sacks.

Texas Tech linebacker Sam Fehoko (Farrington, Honolulu, HI) had 4 tackles in the 24-17 loss to Oklahoma State.

Nebraska running back Roy Helu carried the ball 28 times for 156 yards and scored three times. But more importantly, 82 of Helu's yards came in the fourth quarter, including touchdowns of 20 and 14 yards. The Huskers defeated Kansas 31-17. Iowa tight end Tony Moeaki had 3 receptions for 28 yards in the 27-24 OT loss to Ohio State. For the season Moeaki has 26 receptions for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Colorado linebacker Michael Sipili (Damien Memorial, Honolulu, HI) had 4.5 tackles in the 17-10 win over Iowa State.

Freshman Manti Te'o (Punahou, Honolulu, HI) had 4 tackles in Notre Dame's 27-22 loss to Pittsburgh. Te'o is forth on the team with 45 tackles.

Sophomore defensive end Jabaree Tuani had 8 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble and recovery in Navy's 35-18 win over Delaware. Tuani has 42 tackles for the season. Navy, led by Coach Ken Niumatalolo will play in the Texas Bowl on New Year's Eve in Houston, Texas.
