Alta LB Toloa'i Ho-Ching commits to BYU, will go on church mission first

Just got a phone call from Alta High linebacker Toloa’i Ho-Ching.
The senior said he has committed to play football for BYU.
Ho-Ching chose the Cougars over Wisconsin, having narrowed his choices to those two schools the last few months.
He also had offers from Utah State, Stanford and Wyoming.
Ho-Ching said he met with BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall this afternoon and made the commitment then.
Ho-Ching, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound all-stater, said he will go on an LDS Church mission before enrolling at BYU.
He turns 19 in February of 2011, but said he will not play next fall.
“BYU is a place I need to be at at this point in my life,” he said, when asked why he chose the Cougars.
Ho-Ching missed two games his senior season with a knee injury, but still helped Alta make it to the 5A state semifinals, where the Hawks lost to Bingham.
