Waialua, 'Aiea linemen to UW

Two O'ahu Interscholastic Association White All-Stars said they have verbally committed to Washington. Waialua offensive lineman Micah Hatchie and 'Aiea defensive lineman Lawrence Lagafuaina both said they want to be Huskies.
Hatchie, who is 6 feet 5 and 275 pounds, visited Washington during the Thanksgiving weekend.

"I liked the atmosphere," he said. "I like how (the coaches) ran the team and the way they practiced. I like how they are family-oriented."Hatchie said he made unofficial visits to Hawai'i and Stanford, but told Washington coaches on Monday of his decision. He is the second Waialua lineman to verbally commit to a Division I program. Graham Rowley said during the summer he will play for Brigham Young.

Lagafuaina (6-1, 310), the OIA White Defensive Player of the Year, visited Washington last weekend and told its staff Saturday he wanted to be a Husky. "Everything there was great," he said. It is believed to be a soft commit because he is scheduled to visit UH this weekend.
