Foster, Kelemete, Locker & Williams Named UW Captains

SEATTLE - The second annual "Raise The Woof!" kickoff celebration concluded Friday with the announcement of the UW football captains for the 2010 season.
Senior quarterback Jake Locker and junior offensive tackle Senio Kelemete were named the offensive captains while senior linebacker Mason Foster and senior safety Nate Williams were honored as defensive captains.
Locker, from Ferndale, Wash., enters his final season as a Husky lauded as one of the nation's top college football talents. Last year, he passed for 2,800 yards and 21 touchdowns, and he's already the leading rushing quarterback in Husky history.
Kelemete, from Seattle's Evergreen High, began his career as a defensive lineman. Last year, he was a starting offensive guard and this year, he's slated to start at left tackle.
Foster, a native of Seaside, Calif., led the Pac-10 in tackles in 2008 and last year, set a school record with six forced fumbles while also notching 85 tackles and three interceptions.
Williams, a Kennedy High graduate from Renton, recorded 62 tackles and has been a starting safety for each of the last two seasons.
