Thomas Molesi, last year's All-North County defensive player of the year who helped lead Oceanside High to state and section championships, did not qualify academically to play at Oregon State and has enrolled at Arizona Western, a junior college.
Molesi, a defensive tackle, committed to Oregon State in the summer of 2009. He was one of the six Pirates off last year's team to accept NCAA Division I scholarship offers.
