Tacoma News Tribune 2010 All State Football Team

PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Rahmel Dockery, senior, receiver/defensive back/returner, 5-10, 160, Curtis
Curtis’ do-it-all dynamo totaled more than 2,600 all-purpose yards in 2010. He finished with 73 catches for 1,443 yards and 17 touchdowns, rushed for 713 yards, averaging 14.6 yards per carry. A game-breaker on special teams, most opponents refused to kick or punt to him, choosing to kick or punt the ball out of bounds and giving Curtis good field position. In the Class 4A state semifinal against Skyline, he showed how explosive he can be, catching eight passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns, running for 31 yards and completing a 40-yard pass. He also maintained good coverage on all-America receiver Kasen Williams, whose only big gain came on a screen pass. Dockery has taken official visits to Hawaii and Oregon State, and has scholarship offers from Washington State and Idaho. Oregon, Texas Christian and Washington have also shown interest.
