Sam Ta'i joins UCLA

Sam Ta'i of Liberty (Henderson, NV) enrolled early to UCLA.

Freshman defensive end Sam Tai from Liberty High School in Henderson, NV and San Diego (CA) Rancho Bernardo linebacker Aaron Wallace have attended classes and are now members of the UCLA football team.
"We are excited to have Sam and Aaron in our program," said head coach Rick Neuheisel. "They are both outstanding defensive players who will now have the benefit of our off-season program as well as Spring Practice. I think they are a great fit with the other young talent on our defensive unit that will continue to mature with experience."
Both Tai and Wallace earned three stars from Scout.com. Tai (6-4, 234) was ranked No. 60 among defensive ends while Wallace, (6-4, 215) who missed his senior year due to a torn ligament in his ankle, was ranked No. 31 among outside linebackers. Both earned three stars from ESPN.com and Wallace also earned three stars from Rivals.com.
Tai led his team to an 11-2 record. Although he missed a few games, he still made about 70 tackles, including 15 sacks. He had three sacks in the final five minutes of a win over Canyon Springs in the Sunrise Region semifinals. The Patriots won the Region championship the next week.
