EARL MARINER, sr., OL/DL, Washburn Rural — Mariner
was a standout lineman for the Junior Blues on both the offensive and
defensive sides of the football. Mariner was a first-team All-Centennial
League pick as both an offensive tackle and defensive lineman and was
named co-offensive player of the year in the league.
“Earl is one of the best, if not the best, offensive and defensive
lineman I have had the pleasure to coach,” Washburn Rural coach Steve
Buhler said. “He is one of those rare players who combine great size and
strength with good speed and agility.”
