UH Football Player Melila Purcell Gets 5th Year of Eligibility

Melila Purcell of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa has been granted a 5th year of eligibility by the NCAA. Purcell was a partial qualifier as a freshman out of Leone High School in Amerika Samoa. As a partial qualifier Purcell was forcted to sit out his first year at the Manoa campus. Mel will be joined by his younger brother Amani Purcell this fall football season. Amani is a transfer from Penn State and sat out last season.
