Max Fairclough NJCAA Football Defensive Player of the Week

Arizona Western Linebacker Max Fairclough a 2005 Kahuku High School graduate was named NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week and WSFL Player of the Week. Fairclough originally signed with New Mexico State out of high school and is one of 12 high school graduates from Hawai'i.

In a game that was decided by just one score, Fairclough led Arizona Western 7-0 victory over Air Force (JV) with his stellar defensive play. He tallied 13 solo tackles, three assisted tackles, and one and one-half sacks. Fairclough's full sack came on a third and goal play which he stuffed the Air Force quarterback five yards behind the line of scrimmage. Air Force then settled for a field goal, which was then blocked. He also forced a fumble, which led to the Arizona Western's game winning touchdown drive.

Kekoa Crowell of Orange Coast College was named Mission Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Crowell is a 2005 graduate of Kaua'i High School (Lihue, HI).

Crowell (QB, 6-1, 180, So., Kauai, HI) threw four touchdowns passes in Orange Coast’s 42-29 win over Pasadena to earn offensive player of the week honors. Crowell completed 16 of 22 passes with no interceptions. He also had one catch for 18 yards.
