Nevada Polynesian All Stars
















Kawika Dean LB 5'9, 180, Jr (Reed HS, Sparks) 1st Team All State, 1st Team Northern 4A, 1st Team High Desert League
One of smallest linebackers in North . . . Always seems to be around the ball . . . All-Northern Region linebacker . . . Reed allowed 14 points or less in seven games . . . Reed had No. 6 defense in North, allowing 239 yards a game. Finished the season with 100 tackles (66 solo) according to MaxPreps.

Langilangi Haupeakui RB, 5'11, 217, Jr (Rite of Passage HS, Yerington)
1st Team All State RB (2A), Player of the Year (2A), 1st Team Northern Nevada (RB & LB),
All Sierra Nevada First Team RB A converted rugby player who learned how to read blocks well enough to be named Player of the Year on the 2A all-state team. All he did was rush for 1,202 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns - capped by a 168-yard, 2-TD performance in ROP's 40-27 state championship game triumph against Lincoln County.

Pono Huihui DL, 6'1, 250, Jr (Del Sol, Las Vegas)
The junior was selected first team All Sunrise Conference and first team All Southeast Division.

Popo Kilioni DE, 6'3, 190, Jr (Hug HS, Reno)
Second Team All State. . . All-Northern Region (4A) at defensive end . . . All-Sierra League First team . . . School-record 13.5 sacks . . . 62 tackles . . . Had 4.5 sacks in one game against South Tahoe, a school record . . . Recovered four fumbles . . . Forced three fumbles. . . Replaced teammate Pre-Season All State PJ Utuutuvanu following his dismissal.

Uli Kofutu'a OL, 6'3, 270, Sr (Hug HS, Reno)
1st Team All Sierra League

Liaisia Lotaki DL, 6'0, 220, Sr (Rite of Passage HS, Yerington)
1st Team All State (2A), State Defensive Player of the Year, All Sierra Nevada First Team DL, Quick and physical - not to mention a state champion wrestler - Lotaki was used as an inside linebacker and nose guard on his way to Defensive Player of the Year for the Northern 2A and all-state teams. He led the team with 90 tackles and four QB sacks to go with two TDs and one safety. The Rams ended their season with five straight wins to emerge from No. 4 seed from the Northern 2A to bringing the 2A state title back to Yerington.

Po'u Palelei OL, 6'4, 335, Sr (Bishop Gorman HS, Las Vegas)
1st Team All State, 2nd Team All State (NevadaPrepReport.com), 2nd Team 4A Southern Nevada (NevadaPrepReport.com) Huge lineman was First Team All-Sunset Region offensive tackle . . . Had 23 pancake blocks as a senior and 49 for his career . . . Also saw time at defensive tackle, recording 21 tackles, including six for losses and three sacks . . . Selected to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl . . . Second team All-State as a junior.

Jerimiah Toefaono OL, 6'4, 290, So (Cheyenne HS, North Las Vegas)
NevadaPrepReport.com selected the sophomore to 2nd Team All State and was also selected to the website's All Underclassman Team. Selected 2nd Team All Conference (Sunset) and 1st Team All Division (Northwest)

Daniel Tuilagi OL, 6'0, 270, Sr (Liberty HS, Henderson)
NevadaPrepReport.com 2nd Team (4A) All Southern Nevada, 1st Team All Conference OL, 2nd Team All Conference DL

William Vea LB/RB, 6'1, 220, Sr (Pharangat Valley HS, Alamo)
First Team All Southern (1A) at both running back and linebacker and was selected Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Repeat first team all state at both running back and linebacker. Younger brother of UNLV linebacker George Vea.
