Three locals picked to play in first Hawaii/Polynesia Vs. Mainland All-Star Football Game

Three of American Samoa’s best high school football players — Fagaitua quarterback Joey Iosefa, Samoana linebacker James Savea and Leone High’s Afasene Tasi — have been selected to play in the first ever Hawaii/Polynesia and Mainland All-Star Football Game set for Dec. 12 at the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.

While the season is done for Savea and the Samoana High School Sharks, Iosefa will lead the Fagaitua Vikings to meet Tasi and the Lions during the American Samoa High School Athletics Association (ASHSAA) Football Championships set for this Saturday.
