Maiava stands out in Shrine Game

Former USC linebacker Kaluka Maiava (Baldwin '05) tied for the team high with six tackles for the West squad in the East-West Shrine Game yesterday at the University of Houston's Robertson Stadium

The East won the annual college all-star game 24-19.

All three players with Hawaii ties in the game started for the West defense. Along with Maiava, former Hawaii cornerback Ryan Mouton and Oregon State safety Al Afalava (Kahuku '05) started in the secondary. Mouton finished with two tackles and broke up a pass. Afalava didn't record any stats.
