Hawaii senior linebacker and co-captain Brashton Satele is out for the upcoming season with a dislocated left shoulder, the school announced today.
It is the recurrence of an injury from last season. Satele re-injured the shoulder at last Saturday's practice.
Satele was one of just two returning starters on defense.
"Brashton's a great person, a great leader, and a great player," Warriors coach Greg McMackin said. "I feel badly for him. Our prayers are with him for a full recovery."
Juniors Mana Lolotai and Jake Heun will compete for Satele's starting middle linebacker spot.
