“It feels great to be back,” said Vakapuna, who was drafted in the seventh round by the Bengals. “I know a little bit about the playbook, so it’s good instead of going to a different team and having to learn a totally new system. I have a good opportunity to see if I can help out.”
With Jeremi Johnson dealing with a knee injury, Vakapuna gives the Bengals more depth at fullback.
“With Jeremi having been nicked up a little bit we felt like we needed something to cover us a little bit,” Bengals offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski said.
