DANIEL MUSIKA, MILPITAS
Position: Offensive lineman. Class: Senior. Ht: 5-11. Wt: 270.
Musika was the center on a formidable Trojans line that paved the way for the team's 2,843 yards rushing and 5,333 yards of total offense. "Daniel is a very athletic and powerful player," Milpitas coach Kelly King said. Musika was named the most outstanding lineman in the De Anza Division and also starred on the defensive line for the Trojans, who defeated San Benito to win the CCS Division I title.
JUSTIN SAGOTE, WILCOX
Position: Linebacker. Class: Senior. Ht: 6-0. Wt: 215.
The athletic Sagote helped Wilcox reach the Division I title game for the second year in a row. He started his varsity career as a 165-pound sophomore guard who loved mixing it up with much bigger players. This season he starred on both sides of the ball, with 125 tackles and seven sacks. His best game came in a 14-14 tie with Palo Alto when he recorded four sacks and 13 tackles. He was also a threat as a tight end with 15 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns.
MAKI MUSIKA, MILPITAS
Position: Linebacker. Class: Junior. Ht: 6-1. Wt: 245.
The latest star from the Milpitas Musika clan, an athletic family with nine children, Maki was the Trojans' featured linebacker. He totaled 114 tackles with four sacks despite missing three games because of illness. Milpitas gave up only 27 points in three playoff games. Musika made key contributions in the championship game against San Benito, helping hold the Haybalers to 150 yards of offense. Musika was named the co-junior of the year in the De Anza Division.
